PhysioActive x German Centre
PhysioActive has been working closely with The German Centre Singapore to develop new initiatives for their tenants, and the local German community.
Last month, Denis, Anthony and YJ were present at a roadshow to share more about Physiotherapy and our new clinic in Jurong.
We also introduced our Corporate Health Division, a leading initiative to meet the increasing demands of healthcare services in the workplace.
Our booth at The German Centre Singapore.
In the next few months, we will be conducting fitness classes for tenants of the German Centre. With multiple sessions throughout the week, we are looking to create an active and healthy workforce!
Welcome Chun Kiat!
The PhysioActive team extends a very warm welcome to Chun Kiat who will certainly be a valuable addition to the East Coast team.
Chun Kiat developed an interest in physiotherapy after being treated for his torn meniscus during his National Service. He subsequently pursued physiotherapy studies and graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from the University of South Australia. Prior to joining PhysioActive, Chun Kiat worked at the Singapore General Hospital and SingHealth Polyclinics from 2012 to 2018, treating mainly acute and chronic peripheral and spinal musculoskeletal conditions, nerve conditions, sports injuries, and chronic pain.
After seeing patients suffer from chronic non-specific pain, Chun Kiat developed a special interest in the neuroscience basis behind chronic pain. He spends his free time keeping up with the latest research, focusing on pain sciences and tendon rehabilitation. He likes to learn about the different movement patterns required in various kinds of sporting and functional activities to help his patients achieve their functional goals as soon as possible in the rehabilitation programme. His experience with patients across a wide demographic helps him to understand the different needs of varying ages and occupations. He has professional working experience with lifters, rowers, and dancers, among other sportsmen and sportswomen.
In his free time, Chun Kiat enjoys tending to his houseplants, working out and experimenting with various lifts at the gym, and observing various cultures through traveling.

PhysioActive is proud to announce the addition of a new expert to our team in the Jurong clinic. Anthony brings with him a wealth of experience and expertise from his previous professional capacities. He has a special interest in spinal injuries and pain management.
Anthony graduated from the University of Brighton in 2008 with a Bachelor of Science (Honours) Degree in Physiotherapy. Since then, he has worked in both adult and paediatric settings in Ireland and Singapore. He also had the opportunity to practice in many areas of specialisation including rheumatology, orthopedics, neurology rehabilitation, pediatrics and chronic pain.
Since moving to Singapore 7 years ago, Anthony has been working in a private clinic and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital - the largest medical facility in Singapore which provides specialist care for women and children.
Anthony believes in continuing professional development and is always upskilling to offer the best holistic care to his patients. He holds a post graduate certification in Physiology and Health Science, and a certification in SpineCor bracing for scoliosis. He is also trained in Pilates mat and reformer, dry needling and sports massage, among other treatment techniques.
Outside of his day job, Anthony enjoys playing Football, Boxing and travelling around Asia. As an advocate for injury prevention and management, he also gets himself involved in sports teams in Singapore and Ireland, both on field and rehabilitation. He has volunteered with the Football Association of Singapore too.
It is our immense pleasure to announce the opening of our fourth physiotherapy clinic in Jurong.
This new clinic will allow us to provide high quality physiotherapy and rehabilitation services in an under-served area that previously had limited direct access to private outpatient physiotherapy services.
Located in Vision Exchange, the clinic is easily accessible by both public and private transportation, offering excellent connectivity within Singapore.
It is minutes away from the PIE and AYE, and is also linked to both the Jurong East MRT station and bus interchange via sheltered pedestrian walkway.
With an enlarged network, we hope to expand our reach to deliver the best quality of care to more patients island-wide.
This new expansion is also our way of saying thanks to our 12,000 patients who have entrusted their health to us. If Jurong is closer to where you live/work, you can now meet us there.
We will continue to offer the same high-quality care with state-of-the-art equipment during extended opening hours at this new location.
