Ji Long's interest in exercise and movement started early in his childhood. Practicing Taekwondo since the age of 9, he came to appreciate the significance that form and technique has on performance and injury causation. While training to obtain a 2nd Dan black belt in Taekwondo, he was further exposed to the world of movement. This further piqued his interest in the musculoskeletal system and kinesiology. His determination to help others achieve their mobility goals and prevent injuries increased further after suffering a knee injury requiring surgery.
To achieve his above goals, Ji Long successfully enrolled in the highly popular pioneer cohort of Singapore Institute of Technology’s Degree with Honours in Physiotherapy programme and obtained a sponsorship for his studies. After graduation, he spent 3 years treating a myriad of conditions in one of Singapore’s most prestigious hospitals, gaining a plethora of experience especially in rehabilitation, orthopaedic and plastic reconstruction cases. These experiences provided a great breadth of knowledge for Ji Long, combined together with his own effort to cover greater depth in this short period to provide better quality holistic care for patients. His efforts to provide quality care has merited him patient-service accolades yearly during his time in the hospital.
Ji Long values the importance of time greatly (without compromising results), and as such, is always on the lookout for the most efficient and effective methods. This applies to his approach in treating individuals as well, striving to ensure his interventions are efficient so that his clients have time to spend with the other things they value as well as to return quickly and safely to the activities they love.
In his spare time, Ji Long enjoys a good balance of outdoor nature related activities and indoor gaming.
