The PhysioActive team extends a very warm welcome to Jia Zhi who officially joins us in our Novena clinic.
Jia Zhi graduated with a Bachelor of Physiotherapy from SIT (Singapore Institute of Technology) in collaboration with TCD (Trinity of Dublin) in 2015. Before joining PhysioActive, she was working in Tan Tock Seng for 5 years, specialising in the treatment of musculoskeletal injuries (from neck / back pain to ankle / knee / shoulder injuries), and chronic pain.
Jia Zhi thereafter develops a strong interest to rehabilitate patients with chronic pain, and went on to work at a private practice that combines Physiotherapy with Pilates to assist in the rehabilitation process. She is also Polestar Rehabilitation trained, and currently undergoes mentoring to prepare for the exam. Jia Zhi’s emphasis of treatment is to educate patients on conditions, busting common myths about exercise and physiotherapy, and to ensure that goals of the patients are met.
When I first came to see Jia Zhi, I was in a state that I wasn’t even able to stand for long or bend down to pick an item. My lower back pain was debilitating and I also had shooting pain that radiated down my leg. After a few sessions with Jia Zhi, my pain subsided and I now have a greater range of motion. This mobility really means a lot to me as I am also playing floorball at a competitive level. Jia Zhi made my condition much better and I am very happy with the treatment. I strongly recommend her as she is very experienced and knows what to do to get you pain-free!

In her spare time, she likes to travel, hunt around for good food, but also balances it out by participating in sporting activities.
